Homemade Chocolate Thickshake bars - Eating with Hunter

We are forever putting the Nice & Natural Chocolate Thickshake bars in our trolley at the supermarket, especially when it’s 2 for $7 and they’re $5.50 a box normally. However, given that they only really require a few simple ingredients to make, I was sure I could recreate them at home - and I did!

Here’s what we used to make ours, however, you can swap ingredients to suit your kids taste and allergies (if they have any).

- 3 cups of oats

- 3 cups of Rice Bubbles cereal

- 2 tablespoons of cocoa

- 3 tablespoons of Milo

- 1/2 tin of condensed milk

- 3 tablespoons of coconut oil

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, and then transfer to a tray lined with baking paper. Press down mixture and smooth until everything is level. Top with your choice of sprinkles, and press those down with a spoon too.

Pop in the fridge for a couple of hours before cutting up into bars or square shapes, put them in an air tight container, and pop them back in the fridge until you’re ready to eat them.
